Aatrix and Sage HRMS Payroll – A Good Team
1. Several years ago, Sage decided to team up with Aatrix to enhance their various products’ payroll tax reporting functionality. Instead of each of their products with a payroll component having to update tax forms, Aatrix was selected as a tax reporting service.
Advantage: Aatrix is a complete tax reporting service that completes the forms and supports 9,000 local taxes.
2. Aatrix doesn’t only create the file with the employee records—it completes the tax form as well.
Advantage: Aatrix completes the various state and federal forms, so no more filling out that portion yourself using data on the Payroll Deposit Requirements report.
3. Aatrix allows you to submit taxes via a single portal.
Advantage: If you have employees in multiple states, you no longer need to go to each state’s site to submit your tax reports—you submit them all through the single portal. Aatrix makes sure they get to the correct place on time.
4. When running W2s in Aatrix, you have access to forms that are easy to view and edit.
Advantage: Running W2s is easy and you have a great view to edit on the fly. If you forget to mark someone as participating in the retirement plan, you don’t have to go to multiple screens to edit forms as you do in Sage Abra Suite. If you need to change how a deduction shows in a W2 box, you simply change the deduction code setting and re-run W2s; no more Trial Quarter Close.
5. Aatrix will do your year-end tax reporting and lets you choose each year how you would like them to do it.
Advantage: You can decide each year if you’d like to print and distribute W2s to your employees or if you’d like Aatrix to do it. If you choose the Aatrix W2 service, they will also electronically file both your federal and state tax reports at no charge. If you decide to do the W2s on your own, Aatrix will still electronically file your federal tax report for free, but you would pay a fee to have them file your state report. If you don’t need efiling for the state, you can print out and mail your state reports at no charge.
