Sage Software Ships Sage Abra HRMS, Featuring New Multiple Database SupportOctober 3, 2005 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - October 3, 2005 -- Sage Software today announced general availability of Sage Abra HRMS 8.0, the latest version of its award-winning human resource management system (HRMS) for mid-sized companies and organizations. The updated product features support for multiple databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Desktop Engine (MSDE) and Visual FoxPro, enabling Sage Abra to meet the changing needs of mid-market companies better than ever before. Sage Abra customers whose growth or IT demands require them to move to a new database can easily manage the migration of Sage Abra data via a simple upgrade wizard, while continuing to use the same, familiar Sage Abra software. "Having Sage Abra HRMS with a SQL Server database will give us the flexibility and agility to more seamlessly work with employee data across multiple departments," said Alicia Espinoza, program director for Performance-based Management System at CAMBA (Church Avenue Merchants Block Association, Inc.), a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based nonprofit organization that participated in a beta test of Sage Abra 8.0.
