Sage Software Ships Sage Abra HRMS, Featuring New Multiple Database Support

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - October 3, 2005 -- Sage Software today announced general availability of Sage Abra HRMS 8.0, the latest version of its award-winning human resource management system (HRMS) for mid-sized companies and organizations. The updated product features support for multiple databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Desktop Engine (MSDE) and Visual FoxPro, enabling Sage Abra to meet the changing needs of mid-market companies better than ever before. Sage Abra customers whose growth or IT demands require them to move to a new database can easily manage the migration of Sage Abra data via a simple upgrade wizard, while continuing to use the same, familiar Sage Abra software.

"Having Sage Abra HRMS with a SQL Server database will give us the flexibility and agility to more seamlessly work with employee data across multiple departments," said Alicia Espinoza, program director for Performance-based Management System at CAMBA (Church Avenue Merchants Block Association, Inc.), a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based nonprofit organization that participated in a beta test of Sage Abra 8.0. "Allowing us to smoothly integrate data with other systems, it should reduce our need for double and triple data entry. Additionally, this latest version of Sage Abra looks intuitive and logically-organized. Without Sage Abra, we would be less efficient. For example, reporting aggregate data would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Sage Abra gives us real-time access to HR information, enabling us to see the magnitude and scope of our growth and development from year to year."

Abra HR, Abra Attendance, Abra Train, Abra Alerts, and Abra OrgPlus are now offered with multiple database support. Abra Payroll will be released on the version platform with the same database options next year. For customers wishing to outsource their payroll processing completely, Sage Abra 8.0 offers this option through integration to the newly-released Sage Payroll Services. Sage Abra 8.0 also integrates with Abra Workforce Connections, Sage Software's employee self-service (ESS) and online benefits enrollment system.
