Using the Delphia Meeting Center

What is the Meeting Center?

The Delphia Meeting Center is a Web-based, real-time conferencing-and-collaboration software tool, powered by WebDemo, where we bring together groups of customers, prospects, partners and associates via the web. For help using the Meeting Center, please visit the Meeting Center Support page.

What is WebDemo?

WebDemo is a a software tool that provides an effective way to deliver electronic presentations as well as interact with an audience of remote participants.

Delphia Consulting uses WebDemo for the visual portion of meetings (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, software demonstrations, training, support, etc.). A teleconference number is provided for the audio portion of our meetings.

Fast Facts

  • Internet access required for visual presentation
  • You must use Internet Explorer 5.0 or later; Netscape is not supported
  • You must have the either Microsoft® or Sun Microsystems Java™ Vistural Machine (VM) running on your computer to use the Meeting Center. You may download either of these free VM's from the Linktivity site Linktivity.
  • Telephone access required for audio portion of the training
  • You will be provided the web address (URL) and teleconference number for the meeting after registering

Well in advance of the meeting, please test your browser settings

  1. Using your web browser, surf to http://www.delphiaconsulting.com
     
  2. Click on Meeting Center in the Site Navigation area
    Please note the following:
     
    • You must use Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
    • Netscape is not supported
    • Ports 80 and 443 in your firewall must be open for optimal performance
    • "Pop-up" blockers must be disabled while using the Meeting Center (since the control windows are considered pop-ups)

  3. Click on Test Browser in the Site Navigation area.
    A Linktivity Compatibility Test window will appear:

    If the test is successful, you're ready to go!

Accessing the visual portion of the meeting

  1. For the best viewing area possible, we suggest you set your Screen area to 1024x768. Do to this, right click on your desktop to bring up the Desktop Menu and select Properties.

  2. Click on the Settings tab and set your Screen area to 1024x768. Click OK and follow the prompts. You might want to make a note of your current Screen Area so you can follow these two steps again after the presentation to return to your original settings.

  3. A few minutes before the meeting is to begin, using your web browser, surf to http://www.delphiaconsulting.com
     
  4. If this is a Private Meeting, you will receive an email with a link you can click to join the meeting. After you click the link, go to Step 6 below. Please note, most Webinars are Private Meetings.

    If this is a Public Meeting, click on Meeting Center in the Site Navigation area
    Please note the following:

  5. Find the name of the meeting you are attending and click Join!
    The "Join A Meeting" page will appear:

  6. Enter your Name and Company Name and click Submit
     
  7. You may be presented with a Security Warning which is a Digital Certificate that you must accept in order to join a session. The certificate is approved by VeriSign ensuring the content is safe. Click Yes.

  8. You may be presented with an information window about the Security Warning. Click Continue.

  9. Two small windows will open ("Session" & "Keyboard Chat")

  10. When the meeting starts, a Viewport window will open, which will enable you to view the visual presentation. Please do not close these windows until you are ready to leave the meeting.
     
  11. When you are ready to leave the meeting, click EXIT in the Session window.

Accessing the audio portion of the meeting

  1. Dial 630.364.3730 or toll free 888.236.8982
  2. When prompted for a room number, enter the room # given to you, followed by the pound (#) sign
  3. When prompted for your name, please say your name, followed by the pound (#) sign
  4. You will be placed on hold until the meeting starts
