Founded in 1946, Robins & Morton is a privately held construction and engineering company that consistently ranks among the 100 largest U.S. builders in Engineering News-Record Magazine and one of the best companies to work for in America.

Scenario

Robins and Morton’s Human Resources team tried numerous ways to coordinate and manage daily HR functions including paper forms, inboxes and envelopes while maintaining individual spreadsheets for different functions. Although they were very satisfied with their Sage TimberlinePayroll solution, they wanted a solution that would integrate seamlessly with their existing workflow. 

Challenge

The HR team had difficulty in keeping employees well-informed. So as part of their HR system, they wanted to provide employees with a personalized online portal that would give employees and managers access to their information. Without a central digital repository of information, this was a labor-intensive task, and kept them from moving toward longer-term objectives. 

Solution 

After working with the Delphia Consulting team to carefully collect the needs and wishes of various members of their organization, it became clear that along with Sage HRMS, Robins and Morton would benefit from several automated software tools, working together to create a comprehensive HR platform. Using Sage HRMS as a central database and hub of all HR information and changes, Robins and Morton also deployed Sage HRMS HR Actions, a solution that allowed HR to build, deploy, and collect forms entirely online, including the use of a paperless W-4 and Form I-9.
