IRS Extended Deadline

for Distribution of Forms 1095

A little more time

As it has in the past few years, the IRS has again extended the deadline for employers to distribute Form 1095-B and 1095-C to their employees. The date has been moved from January 31, 2020 to March 2, 2020. The filing date for these forms remains unchanged:

• February 28, 2020 – paper filing deadline for 1095-B/1095-C schedules
• March 31, 2020 – electronic filing deadline for 1095-B/1095-C schedules (Employers that file 250 or more information returns must file them electronically.)
