Great Deal
for Sage Abra Suite Payroll only customers
This promo could save you thousands!
If you commit to a Sage HRMS migration before 3/27, you will get the HR module at no additional license cost! It’s a great deal, but you must act quickly to take advantage of it.
As you know, after Sage’s June announcement of the retirement of Abra Suite, staying on Abra is no longer a choice.
What’s your plan?
You do have choices about what to do next. The logical one is to move your payroll to Sage HRMS, taking all your Abra settings and payroll history with you. Nothing is lost.
The last product update for Abra Suite is in September. To have what you’ll need for year-end reports, you must be off Abra by December 1. That’s not as far off as it seems. While our Sage endorsed solution (Automated SQL Migration for Sage Abra Suite or ASM) can complete the migration in is as little as 90 days, there’s no time to wait.
And, if you’re an Abra Payroll only customer, you must act before 3/27 to take advantage of the promo.

Possible Employee Wage Theft
and how to address it
A two-part series by Insperity
No matter how you collect employee time and attendance information, tampering with the numbers is not difficult. A little extra time entered now and then adds up. The first article in this series outlines five practices that pad an employee’s work hours.
Even if inaccurate time entry is unintentional, with overtime at the time-and-a-half rate, you could be paying much more than you should. As the article points out, most employees are honest, but there are usually a few that try to take advantage of the system. To learn more, read “5 ways employees could be scamming your time and attendance system.”

What are your favorite hobbies/activities away from work?
I enjoy reading, going out on our new boat, hanging out with good friends, and spending time with my immediate family.
Best vacation ever?
My favorite is our Mediterranean cruise with our best friends and my daughter and son-in-law. (My daughter became engaged in Sorrento before they joined us in Venice.)
Favorite place or site?
Currently it has been on our boat on the Long Island Sound, when the seas are calm.
Favorite movie or book genre?
Dirty Dancing is still my favorite movie. I think it is the love story of a girl who does not always fit in and who falls in love with the cool guy.
