We are excited to release our Advanced Employer Match (AEM) plugin that provides Sage HRMS Payroll clients with a streamlined and efficient way to calculate and track their retirement savings and profit sharing employer match.
While some companies use straightforward matching rules such as percentage of earnings or a flat dollar amount to determine the employer match amounts, many others have a unique combination of the two. Adding to the complexity, company requirements such as age, hours worked, time employed, or maximum limits must also be considered. Determining which earnings are eligible for match is another consideration. And then there’s reporting. It’s no surprise that many clients resort to using spreadsheets and manual data manipulation to compute and report on their employer match. AEM helps you leave the spreadsheets behind.
The power of AEM is its ability to provide a rate schedule with multiple match parameters allowing customization for every client, no matter how complicated the calculations. Entering values in rate charts, choosing eligible earnings, and setting parameters of age, hours worked, and length of employment are done once for each retirement savings or profit sharing plan, but can be revised at any time without redoing the entire schedule. You can run AEM as many times as needed before the payroll is posted and checks printed to validate match calculations prior to finalizing payroll.
Another advantage of AEM is its location within Sage HRMS Payroll. The matches are stored within Sage HRMS, simplifying reporting and eliminating the need for manual report creation or GL postings.
If you’re a Sage HRMS user and would like to simplify your employer match calculations, contact Delphia Consulting. Our consultants can install AEM and get you up and running…without those spreadsheets!
