Dynamic Forms Checklist Just Got Better: New Release
We are pleased to announce the release of Sage HRMS HR Actions® Dynamic Forms Checklist version 10.7.1 that enables you to create dynamic lists of required actions for both employees and managers. You can view the changes in the Release Notes on our Software Manuals page.
A new user of DFC says this product was a primary driver in her company’s decision to implement Sage HRMS HR Actions. In addition to transforming their onboarding process, she says that DFC is a great help in making sure all types of forms are completed on time, including performance reviews. Now, that’s truer than ever.
What’s new?
No matter the size of your business, staying on top of all employee forms takes lots of time. While DFC was always great for streamlining the process of employee-initiated forms (onboarding forms, for example), it now provides similar time-saving advantages to managers and HR.
For managers
With this new release, every employee form that a manager needs to initiate or complete for their direct reports automatically appears at the right time in their required actions list. It might be a performance review, an annual pay increase, a promotion, a goal review, or other follow-ups. No more going into HR Actions Self Service, looking up an employee, and searching through a long list of forms to find the right one. And then doing it over again for other employees.
DFC – Manager Checklist puts everything in front of the manager with a single click. Not only do their employees’ names and required forms show up. The status of each form is also displayed with icons representing “Not Started,” “Draft,” “Routing,” or “Completed.” Initially, the icon indicates the status “Not Started.” It changes along the way to form completion, allowing both the manager and employee to see what remains to be done. Maybe the manager starts on a form but needs to close out before it’s finished, or the manager and employee are passing the form back and forth: Status – “Draft.” Perhaps the form is moving through the approval process that was determined at setup: Status – “Routing.” When all steps are finished, the status shows “Completed.”
DFC – Manager Checklist also simplifies the process for upper management who keep track of forms that require action from managers in their reporting chain. It’s as easy as selecting the manager’s name from a drop-down list. With a click, they see the list of that selected manager’s actions and the status of each.
For HR
HR will appreciated the new features too. They eliminate the need to monitor events like employee anniversary dates or performance review dates that necessitate a required form and alert to be sent to managers. DFC – Manager Checklist takes care of it. Using the Administrator view, HR can also see the status of the actions in managers’ lists.
Customize lists
The same ability that was available in the older DFC versions to customize your list of forms is applicable to the lists you create for the new manager checklist. You may want to create lists for specific departments or job codes. For example, a performance appraisal form used in one department may include a different mix of competencies than a similar form used in another department. DFC makes sure that the right list appears for each employee in their manager’s checklist.
