The movie "Hidden Figures" has made us aware of the critical role African American women played in the early days of NASA's efforts to put a human being in space. Black History month is an appropriate time to recognize other "hidden figures," some of the Black scientists and inventors whose work and research have contributed to the technology we use every day. Updates for My Workforce Analyzer

Updates for My Workforce Analyzer Beginning in Q4, the Import button in ACA forms in My Workforce Analyzer (MWA) will change to an Import/Export button. This enables users to export parts two and three of the 1095-C form, change the data in the CSV format, and import it on the same user interface. This feature will especially benefit those who work with large groups of employees, allowing employers to export/import employee forms instead of manually changing each form one at a time in the system. Injunction Suspends New Overtime Rules

U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant grants preliminary injunction to suspend new Overtime "Final Rule" that was set to take effect December 1, 2016. This means the new rule will not take effect as planned on Dec 1st. The new overtime rule that would have raised the minimum salary of exempt employees from $455.00 a week, or $23,660.00 a year, to $913.00 a week, or $47,476.00 a year.

Form 1095-C Distribution Deadline Extended

An early holiday gift from the IRS! On November 18, 2016, the IRS issued Notice 2016-70 that extended the deadline for employers and other coverage providers to furnish the 2016 IRS From 1095-C to their employees.
