Engaging Millennials: Advice from the Ranks

Millennials have the reputation of easily leaving one company for another that offers something more appealing. A recent study by Deloitte notes that the number of millennial workers who would leave their jobs within two years if they could has decreased from last year, but is still high at 38%.

What they’re looking for

Replacing an employee is a big expense you’d like to avoid. While a variety of situations, many of them beyond your control, contribute to the loss of an employee, there is something that companies can do to help recruit and retain young talent: create an engaging company culture.

From sharing their ideas with leadership over a cup of coffee to a company vision that makes a difference in the world, her suggestions don’t require unlimited financial resources. Just a willingness to “think different.”
