Sage HRMS HR Actions v10.7.16 Release Notes

Sage HRMS HR Actions
v10.7.16

A new integrated experience

Since Sage HRMS HR Actions was first released Administrators were required to use seperate logins for Admin and Self-Service. There was no easy way to navigate between front-end and back-end. That’s about to change. Sage HRMS HR Actions Admin & Self Service and have been combined into one user experience. Through new single sign-on capabilities Administrators can navigate between front-end and back-end within the same tab.  Now one login gives you access to everything you need in HR Actions.

But that’s not the only improvements we’ve made in this latest release. We’ve added Active Directory integration, added the option to hide any type of completed action from an employee, improved performance, included support for the Sage HRMS Q4 2019 update, added the new 2020 W-4 forms, and have launched a new web-based reporting solution called HR Analytics for Sage HRMS.

Enhancements

New Login Page

The first thing you’ll notice with v10.7.16 is the new login page which enables you to access both HR Actions Self-Service and HR Actions Admin.

Forgot & Change Password

The new “Forgot Password” feature emails users a link which allows them to change their password using our new login/password technology. This new technology features enhanced password encryption technology and enforces strong passwords.

New Look & Feel

The navigation menus in v10.7.16 have been given a fresh new look and feel. We’ve also added a new header bar with an action menu.

Switch Roles: HR Analytics users assigned to Administrator and Manager roles can use the Role Switching feature to change their perspective on reports, choosing either a global view or restricting results to only their direct reports.

Change Username: Previously Self-Service users could only change their Username the very first time they accessed Sage HRMS HR Actions. This new feature allows user’s to change their Username at any time.

Change Password: Utilizes our new login/password technology to enforce strong passwords. When a password is changed the user will automatically be logged out and need to login again using their new password.

Active Directory Integration

Administrators can opt to allow individuals to use their Active Directory Domain username and password to log into Sage HRMS HR Actions. Simply navigate to Security >> User Maintenance and provide a domainname\username for a given employee.

Expanded Employee Notes

The size of the Employee Notes fields has been increased and can accept up to 8000 characters.

Universal “From Name” & “From Email” Added

Administrators can now define a “From Name” and “From Email” address to be used by default in the email header for all HR Actions generated emails. This allows organizations relaying email through Microsoft Office 365 to limit the number accounts being used to relay messages.

Hide Completed Action From Employee

On the General Setup page of a Form, the checkbox “Hide Completed Action from Employee”, will prevent an Employee from seeing the completed form. This setting applies to all forms, including Performance Appraisal forms.

Simplified Admin User Setup

Sage HRMS HR Actions Admin no longer requires users to have a separate username and password. When a new Administrator is added you simply select the user to add and specify their permissions. The user will receive email notification regarding their Administrator role and have access to Sage HRMS HR Actions Admin the next time they login.
