UPDATE: ICE Grants 60-Day Extension for Remote Form I-9 Document Review

Due to continued precautions related to COVID-19, ICE has again extended permission for employers to remotely review identity and employment authorization documents required for completion of Form I-9. Like the original extension in March, this one is for 60 days and applies to employers who are conducting business 100% remotely. ICE Announces Another Extension of Form I-9 Flexibility Rules

With many businesses still operating remotely, The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced another extension of the flexibility in some Form I-9 rules that was originally granted on March 16 and was extended again on May 19, 2020 and will expire on July 19, 2020 for those employers who are conducting business completley remotely. COVID-19 Response: Form I-9 Requirements Flexibility

In the face of COVID-19 and the associated need for social distancing and isolation, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced flexibility in some of its Form I-9 related compliance requirements. Initially set to expire on May 19, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has extended these rule adjustments for an additional 30 days.
